so here's my doublecrossing lexitrick--

I have "quarter till" as my underlying form
(as I say "quarter till" when the next hour is known),
but I say it like "quarter t'five" when I have to specify the hour.

Does anyone else do this?

Also, people who say "quarter of" confuse me, because I don't even know what that means. I just included it as a hypothetical option because I've heard Objectionable and Scandalous Rumours of its existence.

P.S. Earl Grey is reasonably hott, as the saying goes. I'm completely just one bald head, a starship, and a matter replicator away from becoming a Picard.

The "of" thing always fucked me up in like first grade math.

My prof. thinks people who pronounce it [kɔɹɾɚ] are weird. :/
