why is this choir pronouncing "luceat eis" as /'lisiat i:s/? is this supposed to be some sort of .. 'authentic' francophonic trick? "decet" is /di:sεt/, too; my ears rebel. too much of this +high, +front, +arr.
The tetravexing thing is that this is the Oxford Schola Cantorum, conducted by Jeremy Summerly-- the same ensemble and conductor which put together my favorite recording of the Vivaldi Gloria. I have to assume that the vowel juggling is fully intentional and well-thought-out, but I don't like it. ech.
Enough of that, though-- "FABRI: Ach Vlaendere vrie" is an amazing piece.
