Hmm...what do most people put on their request to be friended comments? Something along the lines of who the heck I am and what I'm doing posting this?
I'm Joelle, and I found you through Nat's journal. You have both her and my English teacher friended.
Good morning, especially if it isn't morning. Fellow '09 Cornellian here who keeps coming across references to you - through linguistics, mutual friends, and Facebook, among others. I was sort of hoping for a while we'd just randomly encounter one another as a result, but seeing as that hasn't decided to happen, maybe I'll force it to do so by posting something on your journal. I just need to think of what to write; give me a minute...
Considering that "good morning" is pretty much my default greeting, and that protests to the usage of it during times deemed inappropriate are met with a simple, "Well, it's morning somewhere, right?", I think we'll get along just fine.
(You'd also be the first Cornellian to actually make any LJ-contact with me, by the way.)
Aha. I knew there was a better reason than, 'Well, I kind of like anachronisms...or sort-of anachronisms...' Pardon me while I steal borrow that. * grins *
(And really! That surprises me. Neat, though. I won a race with a time of several months. Heh.)
