err so I accidentally locked my hoodie and umbrella in the browsing library and dropped my keys in the drop box and had to walk 15-ish minutes to my dorm in t-shirt and jeans in 32°F (~0°C) weather. oops.

but! [livejournal.com profile] _onlymydreams visited and brought chocolate :D and there was a "faculty fireside chat" during my 8-11pm shift about sciences and philosophies and and also there were cookies :D so i can pretend that it all worked out fine in the end.

I think my legs are damaged somehow [epidermally]. they feel like someone swabbed them with a generous coating of some burning acidic chemical. I guess it's just my skin continuing to [be weird // heal]. and walking in justaboutfreezing conditions probably didn't help that very much.

also, i feel sort of like throwing up and crying, but that's just sleepdep and skinpain and headache talking, so we'll Lock Them In The Coffee Box1, take [a] painkiller[s], get [essay] done, and go to bed.

1 i'm not sure whence that phrase comes, but it sounds acceptable, so I'll Accept It. also, i don't drink coffee [much at all but sometimes a cappuccino is okay].

You take care of yourself, Bill. I worry!

My thighs always feel like they're on fire for some time after I'm out in the cold...

my thighs were the worst (except maybe for the area behind my knees), but my legs in general were all fiery and blah. they still hurt, but it's getting better.

have you tried a nice, unscented, sensitive skin handcream? Sometimes that helps me...

c.c I ran completely out of skin moisturizer stuff awhile back when my skin (especially on my elbows) was all cracked and peeling off. I'm to the point where I'm using, like, neosporin-type antibacterial stuff for skin moisturizer, because it has vaseline in it, and a lot of the times, i'm putting it on broken or scabby skin anyway, so I may as well have the antibacterial stuff, too.

But uh, yeah, I don't have nearly enough of that to use on my legs. arr; I need to take a trip to the store, but thanks to construction, I have to make a good 15-20 minute walk just to get to the bus stop to catch a bus that goes to the store, and i've been so busy that it's hard to work that in when i only have a free hour or two here and there, and the busses only run so late, so i can't go to the store at night without taking a taxi for like $20. it's.. argh.

Yarg.... Hey, if you can get your hands on some plain vaseline, that shit it magic too. Check the first aid kit maybe.

I hated being on res just because everything was so bloody far away.
