so the "reign" in "foreign" is not related to "rex" or "royal," but is rather a respelling of an O.Fr. word forain which ultimately derived from L. foris "outside."

so that throws that hypothesis out the window, but it does keep me from needing to explain why the hell there's a "fo" (!?) tacked onto a latinate stem. c.c

also, according to the internets, I dressed my bikewound rather extremely wrong, but that's fixed now, so hopefully I'll be okay? mm.
